I don’t know a lot about Sleep Token. Apparently no one does. I’ve been listening to their song The Summoning. They have the chops. When you're a technically solid metal band, you need to decide how prog you want to be – prog being a known form of birth control. This is not that. This song will get you pregnant. This song is long and styles shift – typical prog. But at the end though - it shifts. Hard. Crazy hard. Like nothing I’ve ever heard in anything in the metal genre. Wild stuff!

I've been too busy keeping up with the kids to keep up with music. And as a member of Gen X, I was used to learning about new bands from the radio - and radio really sucks now. As a result I keep 'discovering' bands that have been around for a while.

I’m a little torn about the #metallica tour. I absolutely love the idea. And if money were no object - I’d go in a heartbeat. I’m guessing it’ll be around $350 a ticket for a two day pass. Which adds up to $1400 for me and the kids. I don’t blame the band - I blame the resale market. It’s too easy to speculate on ticket sales. The speculation drives up the price and fans suffer.
