How can AFAB women/people speak out more effectively against TERFs/transphobes? I've been a feminist my whole life, what can I do to strongly say that current TERF thinking is wrong & fascist? Quiet persuasion, talking with friends - it doesn't seem enough any more.

(relates to last boost) - laws giving parents rights to surveil their children's internet & SM usage. Also the required lectures on these topics parents have to attend at schools. Here's the thing:

I try to make real life analogies, to help my understanding of new technologies. We're talking 'stranger danger' here: the threat of a stranger sexually assaulting you. But we know, statistically, that's not the main threat - you are most likely to be sexually assaulted by someone you know - partner; date; teacher; sports coach; religious figure. We know that.

I don't know the percentage of kids who are attacked by an internet stranger vs the percentage of kids who use the Internet to escape abusive or homo/transphobic parents/situations. Someone should study that!

But I do know that if I were to do parental internet surveillance, I am normalising the techniques used by domestic violence abusers & authoritarian regimes. I don't want my children desensitised to privacy violations, I want them ready to react immediately & get right out of that relationship/country!

That's the most protective thing I can do for my kids (and explain about not posting nudes, private info & not meeting alone with someone from the internet)
