It's sad to see what's happening on @AsahiLinux , but the project has never made sense to me, apart from the developers having fun of doing it.

#Apple doesn't deserve that effort, it's too close of a company.

My opinion is the best the community does is not support Apple at all, and if someone wants to use Linux, let that person support a company that supports Linux somehow.

I have an #AppleSilicon #M1 and definitely my next hardware will not be Apple's anymore, I'm leaving the ecosystem to support other initiatives.

@mntmn is on my radar... I'm open to suggestions and opinions!

To diminish presence on Bigtechs intrinsically means to diminish presence on #UnitedStates tech products, therefore I'm looking for #EuropeanUnion counterparts. It's curious that one the direct side effects to that is the gain of #privacy once #GDPL enforces privacy awareness.

The layoffs after pandemic - that still on goes - and all this Trump+Elon+BigTechs stuff, has raised a red flag on me about how much power we've (as developers and consumers) been given companies. And yes, at some level I think we have our slice of responsibility on that.

Anyway, I'm deciding to step off #Apple products, to get closer again to Free and Open Source Software, and at least contribute using their (or should I say our?) products.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on that, specially from people who have done the same or can relate to this thinking as well!
