Posting up my favourite sketch from 2022 where I felt the greatest achievement in terms of creating a sense of volume I’ve often struggled with and doing so without getting overly fussy. There’s plenty wrong with it but nevertheless it felt like a step forward.

My goal for 2023 is to push this onward and try to make more pictures that retain that volume and weight and realism.
