Watched The Banshees of Inisherin. A very complex and layered story told through the events that come to pass in a simple rural village.
A nice man turned away by his long term friend for being too dull tries in vain to regain his friendship. Turns into a bitter lonely man in the end.
Loved the character of the feisty sister. Superb performances from all the actors. Picturesque landscapes. Taut and tense, kept me fully engaged throughout.
I am planning to read a lot of short stories this year (2-3 per week). The idea is to cover a diverse range of authors, genres and cultural contexts in a short period of time.
I will use this thread to keep track of the stories I read.
Doing something like this for the first time, let us see how it goes.

I am tempted to go back and listen to it all over again :)
One thing that stood out was the rich description of the characters, scenes etc.. In a few short sentences (or dialogues) the characters and the scenes are so vividly described.
