I don't exactly need a heavily "algorithmic" feed here, but it would be nice if a client (or the server) would do more to surface posts by people who post rarely.

It's a problem that feeds get completely dominated by volume and frequency, especially if you have a lot of Follows and don't check constantly. I'm sure there's a fairly light algorithm that can solve this, and it doesn't have to be a slippery slope.
