Many thought that images of lots of people dying was evidence of genocide; it's what happens when you have a war. Did Israel commit *war crimes*? Possibly. (That journalist killed by an Israeli sniper, for one.) Genocide? No.
“[My organization] has not used the term genocide before. We do now.”
I agree. NOW, Israel is endeavoring to outright commit genocide. We knew it'd happen if #Trump won. But all the ppl who sat out the election...so sad.

No, no, no.
If he wants the plane, then not a single dime from American taxpayers. Boeing already has a fixed price contract to deliver two Air Force One jets, and they've already absorbed $2B in overruns.
Besides, if he wanted to use this during his presidency, he'll have to wait for 2-3 years.

This "Billionaire Welfare Plan, Subsidized by Dead Poor People" is brought to you by Trump, the GOP, and the idiot voters who thought the GOP wouldn't cut Medicaid.
Right on the heels of Pope Leo XIV calling to care for the poor and immigrants, too. This is one nasty GOP.

This could be game-changing, not just for humans but for pets and all other animals.
One of the more common auto-immune diseases in dogs, autoimmune hemolytic anemia (now called immune-mediated hemolytic anemia), could be treated easily. With mortality rates up to 70% and typically requiring multiple blood transfusions (which means sourcing from multiple dogs, not just the same one!), imagine being treated for under $200, as opposed to $5000+.

#Trump blinked, then blinked again, and now the Chinese will get 100% of their way, at least for the next 90 days.
LOL That guy is one dumb person.

Deep down, Musk is one hell of an insecure dude who can't ever stick to his claimed principles of free speech absolutism.

But, because it only targets China, there will be workarounds. Some will be 100% legal, some will be completely illegal under WTO rules, and others questionable but likely allowed.
Will Americans buy less from Shein, Temu, Alibaba, etc.? Yes.
Will that mean more business domestically? So long as manufacturer-direct is cheaper, no.

[...] Ending the loophole — known as de minimis — for goods from China could level the playing field for small consumer brands that say they are being undercut by Temu and Shein’s business model."
Who's going to tell the journalist that the math does not add up? Getting rid of de minimis is not enough to level the playing field. #Economics

Ironically, Trump has accelerated the death of small businesses.

Trump just offered to give undocumented residents (a) a one-time free commercial flight back to their home countries and (b) cash. If an undocumented resident doesn't leave after agreeing to, they'll have their wages garnished.

WTF. Musk used the eventuality of death of all life on Earth b/c of the Sun turning into a red giant star as his reason for going to Mars? Are you seriously that stupid, Musk? And for Jesse Watters to claim this was his first time hearing of this -- dude, did you skip science in middle school?
So many stupid people on TV.

Up until late last night, both Vance and Trump expressed disinterest in intervening between India and Pakistan.
As such, it seems likely Marco Rubio explained to Trump why the US had to get involved, and probably appealed to Trump's self-centered goal of trying to get a Nobel Peace Prize.
Maybe the folks preparing the PDB didn't add enough mushroom clouds to the briefing material to express the dire situation unfolding: "pew pew...big bada boom, boom, boom! everybody ded!"💀

a) Find a new, legit supplier (ha!) from another country in SE Asia (or Mexico).
b) Find a supplier who plays the game of cat and mouse with valuations or country of origin.
c) Wait it out and hope for the best that the tariff goes down dramatically before you have to call it quits.
d) Shut down.

One of a few places to track the potential overhead passes of Kosmos 482 at your location. https://www.heavens-above.com/PassSummary.aspx?satid=6073
Change the location on the upper right corner and change the viewing selection from "visible only" to "all".
Colorado-based Kayhan Space says the mean location of the re-entry of the failed Kosmos 482 satellite is central Ukraine, 6:33 GMT. ESA says re-entry will occur in western Australia, 06:37 GMT. Tht's roughly, 4 hours from right now.
The maps show the orbit paths. If it goes past the expected time, specifically 5 hours past (unlikely), its re-entry may be visible over the Pacific Northwest at ~4:49 am.

We all know who made first contact: Trump officials.
Trump's under pressure. Unilaterally, he trotted out his suggestion that the proper uniform tariff rate against China was 80%, not the current 145%.
Even at 80%, it still means China-US trade is being severed, reflecting just how arbitrary the number is. China will walk away. Trump is unserious. Litnick's a clown.
