From time to time I try to actively use Mastodon, but there’s just no getting around the fact that the app (iOS) itself is just not very good, and that’s a big sticking point for me. One example: this was an issue a year ago as well and I just assumed it would have been fixed by now:

When I start the app, the feed isn’t automatically refreshed. I pull down. Nothing happens. I scroll a bit back and forth and then pull down again.. only then does the feed refresh. Amateur hour.

So, while I forgot about this for years on end, this year (after 25 missed opportunities) I decided to make sure I got it.
