Today is Peering Manager release day, version 1.8.0 is out.
Take a few minutes to read the release notes prior to upgrading as there are some breaking changes.
Code base housekeeping, models normalisation, use of pyixapi, prefix lookup changes, better webhooks, brand new statuses for improved workflow, bug fixes and most likely new bugs joined the party.

13.8.2023 07:18Just for showing what I mean, when I say IO delayAnybody has some recommendations to replace a HP DL360e Gen 8 (2 Xeon E5-2430L with 48GB of RAM)?
I'm looking for something with a lower power footprint, still with a bit more kick, without crazy pricing as it is for home lab (and hosting some Peering Manager stuff too).
The server I currently use starts being a bit old, also the consumer SSDs in it appear to be baked and are killing the performances. All I see now is IO delay :(

This should be the last bug fix release before going into 1.8. It contains a few bug fixes for templating filters and also some improvement such as MAC address field for connection and NetBox webhook support.

I'm currently working on a Python package to make requests on IX-API instance. Once again, I'm facing the issue: https://github.com/peering-manager/pyixapi/issues/8
This is the only issue that need a fix for me to have feature parity in Peering Manager while using this Python package.
Anybody interested in helping out?

I'm a network engineer, working on the core/backbone side of things during the day. I'm an open source developer and/or gamer during the night.
I enjoy working on problems that need a combination of network and code to be solved. As of today my main languages are Python and Go. I'm starting to get curious about Rust.
Thanks @nova for Hachyderm. Glad to be here!
