Their relays break down after a few years, and their thermostat valves just discharge within a few days from time to time, even after having been fully charged days prior. Went alright for a couple of months, but lately a few of them do this weekly. Customer service is useless, and, oh, their country is going full pro-russia & anti-lgbtqia+.

Now that I know about these, finally, I am fully google free.

I think it's time to leave the fediverse. It used to be fun, but these days, all I see on my timeline, despite heavy filters, is politics and misery. People can't be bothered to use CW, or actively refuse to do so. People don't use filterable hash tags, on the contrary they invent different ways of naming people to actively evade filters.

It's just become yet-another-social-network full of negative shit.

Maybe I should look into island networks.

Yesterday we walked into the forest, each a ~16kg backpack on our shoulders, went off of the beaten path and pitched our tent near a lake an hours walk away. It was -6°C at night. It was far more doable than I expected. I'm sure there's people who laugh at me now, but having been a comfort creature I'm pleased with how the experiment went and will be doing more of it.

Good to know that when war, the razzia's or both come, we might be able to go on the run.

After having some exposure to the #Swedish #HealthCare system, I must say I've gained a lot of appreciation for #Dutch health-care.

Here in Sweden, there's not much left, unless you have money. People are dying for lack of doctors, hospitals are being closed left and right, and those that still exist can't handle the load. Waiting lists are the norm, even for simple consultations with your local doctor.

Mind you, I'd rather die for lack of health-care than go back to NL, but wow.

But I haven't yet seen a powerbank with solar cells that actually charges by just using those solar cells.
