I’ll never forget her comment when I asked her why she voted for #Brexit:
“I don’t like all these EU ppl coming over here stealing our jobs, telling us (Brussels) what to do…”

But mum (she’s been in my life for 20yrs and she’s in her 80s), I’m from the NL 🇳🇱, from the EU and she replied: “…but I don’t mean you, dear, you’re the good one…”

After 6yrs she hasn’t changed her mind, the hurt is still real. I’m already freaking out 😱
