- It uses libxml2 to parse HTML. It's simple and fast💨!
- It renders HTML into SwiftUI primitives with no web views involved.
- It can display the HTML elements mentioned in https://docs.joinmastodon.org/spec/activitypub/#sanitization
- Mastodon doesn't support rich text posting yet, but it will shortly https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/24239
🚀 MarkdownUI 2.1.0 is out!
This release brings some features suggested by the community:
- Access to the code and language from the code block style (yay! ChatGPT clients copy buttons 😉)
- Access to the Markdown-formatted or plain text content from most of the block styles
- Render HTML line breaks
- Theme fixes

Did Apple remove the model graph editor view? There used to be a toggle to switch between table and graph views in the model editor, and I can't find it in Xcode 14!

Either Apple invests in hiring a good review team or doesn't review apps at all, leaving the success or demise of an app to the users, which are more intelligent than Apple thinks.

I dusted off my blog and published a new article about rendering #Markdown content in #SwiftUI.
https://gonzalezreal.github.io/2023/02/18/better-markdown-rendering-in-swiftui.html
Check it out if you feel that the built-in Markdown support in SwiftUI is insufficient and you miss features like image and block-level element (headings, tables, lists, etc.) rendering.
Boost and feedback appreciated ❤️.

- Native rendering of some HTML nodes (sub, sup, img, picture, details, and summary)
- Interpretive elements, like "note", "important", or "warning" blockquotes (asides)
I would also love to see people pushing the limits of the styling API and contributing more themes!
