What is the opposite of salami-slicing? (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5178044/)
This paper. 59 new studies (>70k participants) by Andrew Meyer and Shane Frederick.:

A counter point to how awesome is to pack this much punch in a single paper is the dreaded: "Data will be made available on request."

Much different, and more reasonable given the medical advances in detection and treatment of the last 30 years.
I wrote a more detailed post trying to make sense of it here:

Please, do let me know if I am reading it wrong.
27.9.2023 10:11If you normalize using the population in 2019 and 1999, the numbers are +22.5% in 'incidence' and a reduction of 12% in mortality....There is a recent paper published in BMJoncology with a striking result. "Global incidence of early-onset cancer increased by 79.1% and the number of early-onset cancer deaths increased by 27.7% between 1990 and 2019" https://bmjoncology.bmj.com/content/2/1/e000049
Not sure if I am misunderstanding something, but their reported 79% increase is based on dividing the absolute number of early-onset cancers (or deaths) in 2019 by those in 1999?
I can't see any adjustment for population or anything similar.
