So I have a shitton of images that I'm going through for a personal archive project. Mac has tags but is it true that if I want to preserve data on these images across platforms I either need to put it in the file names or some other document? Metadata seems iffy for this right?

Learning about the Zizians and the rationalists has made me think that probably when it comes to tech people given the nature of modern devices the ratio of fiddly tinkering (good enrichment) vs arguing online (bad enrichment) is way off, facilitated and made frictionless probably by that everyone has arguing online machines in their pockets that are created in such a way to reduce tinkering with them to a minimum

Big thing if you do decide to get one: you need a microSD card. I couldn't get the local storage to work consistently. The microSD card works fine. Considering it only has 8gb of storage and is advertised to "audiophiles", this is probably why I wasn't able to find this info beforehand, because everyone else loaded in the largest microSD it would tolerate immediately to fill with FLACs.
