We went to a community meeting this week about responding to the Republican government’s anti-immigration practices. A last-minute addition was a visit with some local Ukrainian refugees and hearing a prayer for their country. We stand with them. This is my reminder of the fact that immigration to the US, far from being a problem, benefits Americans socially and economically.

He almost certainly won’t do anything, but at least he’s on notice: “President Trump is tearing apart the government, pardoning criminals who beat up police officers, threatening to lay off firefighters, and firing FBI, DOJ, and other civil servants who are only guilty of faithfully doing their jobs for the American people. He has stopped paying for the programs that your congress has authorized. He is collecting payoffs from business and lying to America. With apparently no accountability and zero transparency, unknown people have taken over personnel and payment controls of the federal government. What are you going to do about it?”

Your first notice of this as a participant may be the video recording alert in Zoom, which the host can cancel. The instance I experienced included a hallucinated “fact”.

Remediation: If the Otter customer has allowed it, as a “collaborator” you can edit the transcript, remove images, and re-generate the AI summary. But it’s too late to fix the email.

I tried installing a TP-Link Matter wall switch on my long-existing Homekit system, using the OG HomePod as a Matter hub (yes it’s a Wi-Fi Matter hub, just not Threads). Found lots of advice (even a video showing the exact switch install to HomeKit with success), tried lots of options, none of it helped. Finally put in a new Leviton Decora Smart switch (2nd gen). Worked first try. I think I’ll steer clear of Matter after this. #homeKit
