My limitations are mostly, hey, I can't party/stay awake beyond 2 am max which itself is flouting orders. I can't catch this sport happening on the other side of the world at odd timings. Easy. But the anxiety really got to me over the years because I've had episodes at restaurants (with Twitter mutuals/friends), movie theatres, airports. It's often a false alarm, it's only anxiety as a by product of living with epilepsy. But who can tell. That can be unnerving.

Living with Epilepsy is not insanely difficult. It's mostly this anxiety at least in my case and from what I gleaned, her case. In fact she must be having it more difficult. I can only imagine with acting and call sheet timings and film shoots, when will she get the time to sleep? Scary to even think about. Regular, even mildly privileged people only need to follow a healthy lifestyle that will help them anyway to live with something like this.

I was late to actor Fatima Sana Shaikh's AMA on Epilepsy Awareness Month (November). As someone living with epilepsy for a long time (as a kid and later in life as an adult and continuing) these particular ones really spoke to me. Social anxiety can sometimes be more limiting than a seizure itself. Like her I do get the aura. "Oh I am gonna get it now." "I am going to get it today because I didn't sleep properly." "I am going to get it in front of these ppl!"
