Today I turned in my key to the coaches locker room at the SCRJ Lakers after almost 5 years of being actively involved in the organisation.

It's been a fascinating journey, and great privilege to work with so many motivated, passionate and fine people, some of who started as small kids when I first got to know them.

Dictatorship is centralisation of power, and centralisation of power over the media is a prerequisite for dictatorships to emerge and sustain themselves.

The platform industry provides the perfect fertile ground for a US dictatorship to emerge.

Decentralisation is distribution of power, and adds a layer of protection against the slide into authoritarianism.

So the question is no longer "separation of church and state" with regards Christianity. All religions only serve as "opium of the masses" in the US.

The US itself is now the first Longtermist State, and we can expext it to use all its resources to advance the longtermist agenda.

TL;DR: As a community, we should be honest and realize that Web based DID methods belong to the family of federated identity methods, not Self Sovereign Identity.

In order to achieve support and adoption from the large platform providers, they sacrifice Decentralization, Control, Privacy, and Security.
