One factor for my decision to upgraded this year was wanted to get an early look at Apple AI which I hoped would be more useful and address privacy and environmental concerns better. But I took the leap today hoping I would find an easier way to run experiments blocking domains.
Has anyone else switched to the new UI yet? What are your impressions?

Today I opened the same apps to find searches for “grigs lazy.” I feel attacked by my past self.

I’ve updated my article to note the new behavior and update the recommendations:

It used to be that loading=“lazy” wouldn’t stop images images from loading that were in the initial viewport, but not visible (e.g., images in menus) so we used lazy loading JS for those images.
Now loading=“lazy” seems to working. Did the standard change? Or are we just getting lucky?

We helped build TripCase. It was built with web tech. It showed what was possible. I preferred it and not because it was web tech or because we worked on it. It was just better than its competitors.

I...Don’t you hate it when you’re about to click on something and then a notification appears and it covers what you were going to click on so you click on the notification by accident.
It seems like OSes—particularly desktop ones that can track cursor movements—should be able to mitigate this.
