Following the firing of OpenAI (ChatGPT) CEO Sam Altman by the company's Board of Directors, more than 500 employees of the company resigned this morning. Microsoft has hired Altman and a couple of his partners. Many of the employees who resigned will likely also end up with Microsoft. MS essentially just got the entire company without spending a single dollar. 😎

I'm working on refining a nautical themed board game and the gameplay offers optional play modes.

One is an open ended mode that could last hours until someone wins.

Another mode is timed based and the winner is the leader at the end of the time.

Did I mention that the concept adapts some aspects from Monopoly, Snakes & Ladders and Twister (just the spinner part, nothing strenuous).

I'd appreciate any feedback on the whole multiple rules idea.

Anyway, the opening act for the show was a then little known band called The Coral Reefer Band led by Jimmy Buffet.

Jimmy passed away yesterday at the age of 76.

My wife and I designed a nautical themed adventure board game a few years ago. Its been on the back burner for a while due to life circumstances.

Currently working on the artwork for the board and the cards. It's fun for all ages and can be played in multiple ways including a timed version.

Just a few thoughts on the missing submersible.

The dimensions of the SEALED vessel yield an inside volume of about 1800 cubic feet of air (not oxygen). Now a human breathes air at about one cubic foot per minute, so they have about 300 hours, or only about 60 hours for each of the 5 inside.

We are past that 60 hour mark, they have already exhausted what air they had. Someone check my math please.

Sadly, my conclusion is they are already dead. 😧
