Main take away: There are a lot of misconceptions about human evolution/nature that plague attempts to plan for global warming but bioarchaeological research demonstrates the complexity of human-environmental relations and health. Our work also provides hope for a resilient future if we approach these challenges with a goal of inclusive, equitable, sustainable development.
