I haven't really looked at or enjoyed much porn of any variety in a while, and I suspect it's just that almost all of what I've been able to find is centered around a model of how one is supposed to feel about bodies that is irreconcilable with the feelings I'm growing into

Like, the vast majority of porn excludes most things a body can be, plain and simple. Queer porn is not particularly better about this. Nobody has any individual responsibility to change their work to help fix this, sure, but the consequence is that the bodies that appear in porn are, like, a very narrow sliver of what bodies can actually be, as well as many things that they can't.

I think this affects people! I think there are plenty of people who will see more naked bodies in porn than they will in person, and I think this skews their understanding of what bodies can be away from what most bodies actually are. This is a discrepancy that can manifest in a lot of ways, and some of those ways do a lot of harm. If there's a benefit outweighing that, I'm not sure what it is

I guess I don't know what to do about this? It's another one of those things where I don't think most people have any interest in changing things, and it's not like I make porn anyway. I really liked porn as an expression of sexuality, but, like, the more I engage with my sexuality as a means of connecting with people, the less that form of expression seems to have any bearing on that sexuality. Idk

I would say that I have generally encountered good work in the field, but the pieces I have seen generally introduce more flaws the further you get from 'small person wears kitty ears'

For instance, headband sizing generally trends small, with no option to upsize. This presents a problem when the ears have a fixed base on the headband, cause on bigger heads the ears will be closer to the top of the head in a way that doesn't look good

I think there is room for improvement in terms of, like, adjustability. I should do some research and see what's out there first, but when money has built up enough for a new hobby I would like to investigate this some
