So the problem faced when cleaning up the messy storeroom? There was no attempt in the past to do it. It was just chuck stuff in there and forget about it. To get stuff at the back meant climbing over piles of stuff.

I don't know what is in this pile. Tackling it is hard when there's stuff on top, itself difficult to reach.

Even back then, she was found to have liver cancer, cataract, and other issues.

Come to think of it, I have not seen her belly up in a long time.

The last time I saw her in a condition where she could move well was after that cleaning. I got pretty annoyed over her water demands and then not drinking when given, and then head out of the house (with no one else inside) after.

As someone she probably saw the most, and probably took care of her the most only behind mum, she might have got heartbroken.

She was always seen lying down since, not eating or drinking.

But the point where her health deteriorated that lead to her death began when I cleaned the things in the bathroom the cat makes contact...

Were the surfaces infected with germs when I was cleaning it? Or was it the accumulation of making contact with the filth of the bathroom that made her sick? I was against the cat going into the bathroom to begin with, but I have no ability to pull her away.

She came to our family as a young abandoned Maine Coon that roamed into many homes many years ago. She eventually settled into our house as she spent more and more time inside, and after several incidences that frightened her.

During a vet visit last year, she was estimated to be about 12-16 years old, so she was between a kitten and young cat, so she had been with us longer than her previous owner.
