Rynnäkkökivääri riittää, koska se on "lähinnä sotilaan tuttipullo" (Mikko Rupponen) ja antaa auttavan illuusion hyökkäyksen mahdollistamiseksi.

Tykinruokataktiikka olisi eettisempää toteuttaa autonomisilla roboteilla.

Nähdäkseni turvapaikkaan oikeutettujen siviilien ja/tai sotilaiden lähettäminen ja joutuminen miinakenttään on lähettäjän syy eikä miinoittajan:

Hybridihyökkäykselssä lähetettyjä siviilejä kuten kaikkia siviilejähän tulee suojella sodan vaikutuksilta.

Täten esitetty "realistinen uhkakuva" ei vaikuta kovin realistiselta todellisten tapahtumien ja taktisesti realististen toimintamahdollisuuksien valossa.

Toki ilman muuta siviilien suojelemiseksi miinakentiltä olisi tehtää kaikki mahdollinen. Tähän autonomiset dronet ja robotit antavat hyvät paikalliset mahdollisuudet. Lisäksi kohdennettua viestintää ja maksettua some-mainonta olisi käytettävä miinavaarasta informoimiseen – jos kerran kaikesta huolimatta Scheininin mukaan sellainen mahdollisuus on.

11. Ylipäätään 2020-luvun teknologiaa olisi ilman muuta hyödynnettävä ylivoimaisen vihollisen torjumiseksi omien sotilaiden ja muiden kansalaisten lihaa, verta, ihmishenkieä ja terveyttä tulisi suojella tarpeettomalta vuodatukselta.

Joitain teknisiä vaihtoehtoja:

1. Polkumiina detektoi massaa ja putkimiinan lanka kineettistä energiaa. Mitä muita varmatoimisia sensoreita ja detektoreita on olemassa? Ainakin on esimerkiksi <6 € maksava kiinalainen tutkamoduuli. Se havaitsee ihmisen 8 metrin päästä huoneessa, mutta ei suoraan sovellu sään, sateen ja mättäiden alle. Lisäksi se on aktiivinen radiotaajuinen komponentti ja siten helposti havaittavissa. Toki Patrialla on passiivisia tutkasensoreita (70ms = 14Hz), jotka käyttävät FM- ja DVB-T-signaaleja, mutta nämä ovat ilmauhkien havaitsemiseen..

2. Ehkä miinat voisi pitää langattomasti deaktivoituina vaikkapa lennättämällä partioivaa dronella ja siitä "muistutusssignaalia" miinakenttään. Jos partiointi lakkaa tai signaalia muutetaan, miinat aktivoituvat. Ja aktivoitumisen määräaika olkoon sitten alle 6 kuukautta.

3. Autonomisia robotteja on kehitettävä, koska niillä voidaan aseellisissa tilanteissa puolustaa ihmissotilaiden henkeä ja terveyttä.

Armeijoiden hierarkisessa kulttuurissa autonomiset robotit pysyvät aina ihmisten käskyvallan alaisina. Tämä on hyvä ihmisetiikan ja oikeusvaltioperiaatteiden mukainen asia.

Länsimaisten oikeusvaltioiden ei tule sitoa omia käsiään autonomisten robottien liiallisella sääntelyllä, koska tämä ei estä vihollista käyttämästä vastaavaa vaikutuskeinoa omia ihmissotilaitamme kohtaa. En halua vuodattaa omaa vertani vain siksi, että yli-idealistiset pasifistit ovat naiviudessaan ja valikoivassa todellisuukäsityksessään estäneet meitä kehittämästä teknologiaa, jolla turha verenvuodatus, traumatisoituminen ja sotilaiden ihmishenkien menetykset voitaisiin välttää.

Kognitiivinen robottiteknologia ei ole vielä kehittynyt ja kehittyy kaiken aikaa. Meidän ei tule liittyä kansainvälisiin sopimuksiin, jotka perustuvat tuntemattomomiinn ja spekulatiivisiin autonomisen robotiikan teknologioihin, koska kv-sopimuksista ei voine irtautua, jos niihin on kerran menty (Scheinin 1–5). Tämän sijaan tulee pitäytyä "sinnikäs kieltäytyjä" (persistent objekctor) asemassa.

Jos minä olisin moskavitsilän rusistis-fasistinen johtaja, joka on 2017 sanonut, että "se joka hallitsee tekoaälyä, hallitsee maailmaa", olisi tavoitteenani hyödyntää tätä teknologiaa kaikin mahdollisin keinoin tavoitteideni saavuttamiseksi.

Pyrkisin käymään sotaa ja hybridisotaa viholliseksi kokemiani valtioita ja yhteiskuntajärjestelmiä vastaan resurssieni puittaissa ja tilanteiden mukaan. Sodan kynnyksen alapuolella hybridikeinoja käyttäen heiktentäisin NATO:n uskottavuutta ja pelottelisin länsimaalaisia kaikin sopivin keinoin.

Kehittäisin autonomisen desanttiyksikön aseettomia robotteja tai aseellisia tapppajarobotteja, jotka voisi lähettää trollaushyökkäykselle NATO-rajan yli.

Tämä olisi perusteltua, koska

a) nämä eivät olisi oikeita sotilaita, sotilaita tai ihmisiä ensinkään,

b) atribuutio olisi helppo kiistää "jonkun startup-yrityksen harhautunut lauma",

c) häirintäoperaatio olisi uudenlainen, hämmentävä ja ei-konventionaalinen ja siksi vihollisen olisi vaikea reagoida siihen nopeasti totuttuja arviointi-, päätöksentekoprosesseja- ja vaikutuskeinoja käyttäen.

d) Jos vapaa valtio olisi muodossa tai toisessa estänyt itseltään vastaavan teknologian käytön, muodostaisi se tällaiselle uhkaajalle helpon hyökkäysvektorin, joka itsessään lisäisi autonomisten aseiden implementaation ja käytön insentiivejä, mahdollisuuksia ja niiden käyttöä ihmisiä vastaan, koska puolustajan täytyisi käyttää omaien sotilaiden lihaa, verta, psykologista traumakapasiteettia, ihmishenkiä ja terveyttä tällaisen autonomisen uhan torjumiseen.

Täten olisi syytä tutkia ja selvittää, miten autonomisia robotteja saataisiin toimimaan. Niitä tulisi myös rakentaa ja kehittää iteratiivisesti, koska tämä ohjaa ja määrittelee tuntemattoman asian ymmärtämistä käytäntöä ja teoriaa tehokkaimmin ohjaavalla tavalla.

Autonomisia robotteja ja droneja voitaisiin ja tulisi käyttää myös miinakenttien kulunvalvontaan ja siviilien pääsyn estämiseen niille yhdessä yksinkertaisten ja vaarattomien paukkupanosten kanssa.

Scheinin (11) hyvää neuvo soveltaen: meidän on haettava ja käytettävä kaikkia mahdollisia 2020-luvun teknologisia ratkaisuja, jotta voimme jatkossakin puolustaa länsimaista vapautta, demokratiaa, oikeusvaltiota ja ihmisoikeuksia kaikkia nykyisiä ja tulevia uhkia vastaan.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around robot action space discretization and tokenization for transformer architectures. Llama has only 100 unused tokens when some guys needed 256, so, they just truncated the 256-100 least used tokens and trained an additional neural layer to handle and learn the robot control.

I'm not sure how many tokens your hand with this many servos would need. One also need space for the sensors, images, and language tokens – while moving from vision-language models to vision-language-action models.

For me the action space discretization felt a bit ugly, because the servo DoF space is continuous after all. But I guess it doesn't matter, because you can send the commands up-to 50 Hz LOL [1] and also I guess interrupt the previous command [2], updating trajectory continuously. Dunno.

It would be interesting to understand, how high higher-level action chunks can be learned automatically by the transformer and does the discretization offer some trade-offs. The geometric deep learning guys emphasized to use symmetries to match the world [control problem here] and the neural architecture [cf. images <-- 2D convolution, word sequence <-- transformer and attention]. A Fourier head can be used to learn [discrete] 256 bin based estimate of continuous probability mass, cool, if somebody needs this [3]. I don't know enough though. All and all, I currently feel, that rough low-res discretization of servo action space could be quite OK, if your control loop frequency is Hz in two numbers 😅

2) as RAID5/6 and native encryption are not production ready on #btrfs, one-disk system encrypts only once if you use #LUKS encryption.

Hmm. But due to the penalty in 1) would a multi-disk #mdadm RAID btrfs system still be better than zfs?

Based my on security need, I can opt-in for CA and/or PEM key passwords, depending on how unsecurely I might have to store them.

I tried #WireGuard also, but gut stuck propably due to missing kernel headers. My container based has non-standard kernel and the headers were not immidiately and unambiquously available, so I gave up for now.

Let me tell you, it’s a scary business. I'm not kidding.

Combat, or “black,” #propaganda allows any distortion of real facts to solve propaganda problems. This is an effective weapon used for the sole purpose of knocking out the enemy’s brains.

The "rotten herring" method. The "inverted pyramid" method. The "big lie" method. The “40 to 60” principle. The "absolutely obvious" method.
You also know all these methods and techniques. You just don't realize it. As intended.

We were taught to use special propaganda techniques against soldiers of the enemy army. Today they are used against the civilian population of our own country.

For two years now, reading Russian newspapers or watching television shows, I have noted with interest that people coordinating the distribution and interpretation of news in Russia clearly learned from the same textbook as I have, from the same cheerful colonel or his colleagues.

For example, the “rotten herring” method. It works like this. A false accusation is chosen. It is important that it is as dirty and scandalous as possible. For example, petty theft, child molestation, or murder, preferably out of greed work well.

The purpose of the “rotten herring” is not to prove the accusation. It’s to cause a wide, public discussion... How it’s unjust and unfair.

The human psyche is arranged in such a way that, as soon as the accusation becomes the subject of public discussion, its “supporters” and “opponents”, “experts”, rabid “prosecutors” and ardent “defenders” of the accused inevitably arise.

But regardless of their views, all participants in the discussion again and again pronounce the name of the accused in connection with a dirty and scandalous accusation, thus rubbing more and more “rotten herring” into his “clothes”, until finally the “smell” begins to follow him everywhere. The question “killed-stole-seduced or not” becomes the main one when his name is mentioned.

Or, for example, the “40 to 60” method invented by Goebbels. It consists in creating media that give 60 percent of their information in the interests of the enemy. On the other hand, having earned his trust in this way, the remaining 40 percent are used for extremely effective, thanks to this trust, disinformation.

The “big lie” method is very effective It is a bit like the “rotten herring” method, but actually works differently. Its essence is to offer the audience such a universal and terrible lie with the highest degree of confidence that it is almost impossible to believe that it's possible to lie about such a thing.

The trick here is that a properly composed and well-invented ‘big lie’ causes such a deep emotional trauma in the listener or viewer that it then determines his views for a long time, contrary to any arguments of logic and reason.

False descriptions of cruel abuse of children or women work particularly well.

Let’s say that the message about a crucified child due to the deep emotional trauma it causes will determine the views of the person who received this information for a long time, no matter how much someone tries to convince him later, using logical arguments.

But our cheerful colonel especially revered the method of “absolute evidence”, which delivers, although not fast, but reliable results.

Instead of proving something, you submit what you want to convince the audience of as something obvious, taken for granted, and therefore unconditionally supported by the overwhelming majority of the population.

Despite its seeming simplicity, this method is incredibly effective, since the human psyche automatically responds to the opinion of the majority, seeking to join it.

It is just important to remember that the majority must necessarily be predominant, and its support absolute and unconditional - otherwise the desire to join in won't take place.

However, if these conditions are met, the number of supporters of the “majority position” begins to gradually but surely increase, and over time increases exponentially - mainly due to representatives of low social strata, who are most susceptible to the “attachment effect”.

One of the classic ways to support the method of “absolute evidence” is, for example, the publication of the results of various sociological surveys demonstrating absolute social unity on a particular issue.

The methods of “black” propaganda, of course, do not require these reports to have anything to do with reality.

I could continue. We’ve actually been taught for a whole year, and the list of methods is quite long. That’s not important, though.

However, the following is. The methods of “black” propaganda affect the audience at the level of deep psychological mechanisms in such a way that the consequences of this impact cannot be removed by the usual logical arguments.

“Big Lie” achieves this effect through emotional trauma. The method of absolute evidence is through the “attachment effect”. “Rotten herring” - introducing into the audience’s mind a direct association between the object of the attack and the dirty, scandalous accusation.

Simply put, combat special propaganda turns a person into a zombie who not only actively supports the attitudes embedded in his mind, but also aggressively opposes those who hold other views or try to convince him of something else using logical arguments.

It can’t actually be otherwise. All methods of combat and special propaganda are united by a single goal. It is to weaken the enemy’s army by introducing internal discord, mutual hatred, and distrust of each other into its ranks.

Today these methods are used against us. The result to which they lead is exactly the one for which they were created. However mutual hatred and internal discord arise not in the enemy’s army, but in our homes and families.

Just go outside and see how the country has changed over the past three years. It seems to me that combat special propaganda works even more effectively against its own population than against enemy soldiers.

Probably because, unlike enemy soldiers, civilians cannot protect themselves.”

Es ist für jeden unverständlich, wie die USA und England Zugeständnisse machen konnten, die sie niemals wiedergutmachen können.

Wie konnten Roosevelt und Churchill der Übergabe ihrer eigenen Gefangenen an die Bolschewiki zustimmen?

Hat die westliche Welt nichts aus der Politik der Sowjetunion in den Jahren nach der Revolution von [1917] gelernt, als sie der Roten Macht die Ausbreitung über viele Länder bis ins Herz Europas ermöglichen konnte?

Jeden Tag werden neue Gefangene in die Zellen gepfercht. Oft werden Russen in englischen Militäruniformen mitgebracht. Sie sind ehemalige deutsche Kriegsgefangene, die später in England oder anderen Ländern ausgeruht, ernährt und gekleidet wurden. Sie wurden nun repatriiert, mit Fanfaren und Begrüßungsreden empfangen und dann inhaftiert. Das sowjetische Kriegsrecht schreibt eine Strafe für jeden vor, der sich ergibt, aber das hat die Briten nicht bewegt. "

In Finnish materialization of The Gulag Archipelago, a prisoner Unto Parvilahti writes about his 9 year self-described "study tour", after being unlawfully, forcefully, and deceptively extradited to Stalin's Soviet Union from Finland:

"They have been brought here from Germany and Austria, the Balkan and Baltic countries, Korea, Japan and other countries of the Far East. There are also citizens of #England [#UK], the #USA, #France and Italy. One often hears the phrase repeated ironically: Proletarians of all countries, unite.»

What they all have in common is that they have not accepted the communist doctrine of class struggle and the red terror in their homelands. That's why they are here now, marching towards their destruction.

Despite the general hopelessness, most of them have kept the sharpness of their intellect, and their statements would have a lot to consider even for world leaders. The decisions of the #Yalta and #Potsdam conferences are the subject of discussion and criticism every day. It is incomprehensible to everyone how the USA and England could make concessions that they can never repair.

– Any respectable corporation must disclose #ransomware incidents

– Any whistleblower within the corps is to be protected

Change this culture with legislation, ethical policies for good corporate citizenship, or share holder activism. Anything goes.

We should be asking corporations for their pledge to disclose ransomware.

This incentivizes them to prepare and not to pay! Let's cut the money trail!

Remove /etc/ssh/ssh_host_{rsa,dsa}*

After full-upgrading to Debian 12/bookworm/stable,

my respective ssh CLIENT was upgraded too, to v1.9, WHICH refuses public key authentication (reverting to password) to a server, if these insecure public key generation algorithms / files exist on the server.

Remove those keys, rather than re-configuring your ssh client to allow these.

Or is there something more to it? 🤔​
