I think 90% of problems people get into in life, online or off, would be solved if people talked directly to the person they had a disagreement with, but it seems the tendency is to talk to everyone AROUND the person you have a problem with, which doesn't solve the problem

sinophobia is so pervasive. You see it pop up in some weird places.

It's kind of helping me understand how the US deflected a lot of the domestic problems it had with cold war tensions.
