Prediction: if launch goes well and Threads gets traction, they may *never* federate. If they get a critical mass of engaging content and users (larger than the #Fediverse today), why would they bother letting people follow it from Fedi instead of forcing sign up?

IMO that is the bigger danger to Fediverse adoption, that Threads gets big fast and becomes default #TwitterMigration destination.
