I am concerned about #OpenAI's move to become a for-profit company and to abandon its foundation board. As someone coming from the open source and open data communities, the use of "open" in their name has always bewildered me. Their models can only be run by them on their terms.

They became a market leader with the goal to benefit all of humanity. Their actions reveal a lack of commitment to this goal.

To distance myself, I changed "ChatGPT" to "AI" in the title of my recent blog post.

I love the two circles of hours. I love the second stage with all 60 minutes and sticky points every 5 minutes. I love that precise inputs work so well by holding the finger on the screen. I love that the time is always visible above in a large font without ever being covered by a finger. I love the ease of a keyboard fallback.
