This year I've finally been able to spend time with family in NZ after a few pandemic years away. Growing in my parents garden is this beautiful fern frond. Not only is it a powerful symbol of life unfurling at the top, but look at all the little fronds growing down the stem! For me that's my friends and family, but also the #mentorship given and received in academia. #Today I feel especially #Grateful for those who are there to guide me, and for those coming through in the next generation who continue to inspire me.

Best thing about being a PI is that my research directions grow with my PhD students. With some constraints on topics, I like to fit in with where they want to go in their careers.

So I'm excited to share this pilot study from PhD student and clinical psychologist Mark Donovan. The study shows that the mindfulness and imagery enhanced behavioral parenting group CCCK, developed here
@uow, had large effects for parents and kids. Higher need families gained the most. Amazing work from Mark, that I am proud to play a small role in. https://rdcu.be/c1DWk
