Things are set up such that a real person can use an anonymous id to use a wallet to buy something (a news article, a pizza, or porn) at a site, without neither site nor wallet provider knowing who is the real person. This is much alike paying cash in the real world.

Finally, browsers support wallet and id accounts (following an open web standard for these), by themselves or via extensions, and any passwords for the accounts are stored by the browser.

What if #news sites had a #price tag attached to each #article, say, USD 0.012 or less, with no #paywall? Just tap the tag, pay, and the article is forever open to you.

And what if paying for something was as easy as dropping a coin? No passwords, no subscriptions, just tapping on a confirmation?

How hard it can be to implement it? 🙃

I think that idea of a global id is not bad, by itself, but it must be strongly regulated by worldwide laws, for it not to be abused.
