One thing that drives me crazy about TI graphing calculators is the fact that the TI computer software doesn't have official Linux support. I need to run Linux for my programming homework because controlled folder access makes it difficult to use the Java Compiler. I know a large part of it is written in Java because I see the Oracle JRE in the TI Nspire and Smartview CE software.

Here it is: Step one, each state gets 256 electoral votes. Step two: each state casts its electoral votes linearly to their popular vote. Step three, congress appoints a non partisan commission to count the electoral votes supervised by the supreme Court to prevent cheating, Step 4: To win and be sworn in, you have to win at least 51% of the electoral votes, Step 5, The president serves one term for ten years and cannot run again, Step 6: The 2nd and 3rd place losing presidential candidates get a seat in the Senate and the 2nd and 3rd place vice presidential candidates get a seat in the house of representatives. Problem solved. The advantages of doing this is that you get both proportional and local representation, the losing candidates get to oppose the president in the Senate and house, it would be harder to become president and the president doesn't have to worry about running for the election, allowing him to govern by his conscience while he doesn't have to overstimulate the economy to get re elected.

Note that I don't use the term alt tech as right leaning tech but rather platforms and services that exist in opposition to the big tech oligopoly.

Anyone repeatedly caught sending false DMCA claims shall be stripped of their right to file DMCA claims. 2. Any false positive in copyright enforcement is an automatic 100,000 dollar fine for both the filer of the false DMCA claim and the platform that acted upon it. 3. The person or organization affected by false DMCA claims can sue for up to 5 million dollars or 30% of the filer's revenue, whichever is more.

If that is a problem then raise the minimum age to join the Marine Corp to 25.

When will you offer an AMD Ryzen AI 9 375HX on your Framework 13 and 16 laptops? These processors represent a major upgrade over the current options, especially with the 8 core ARC 140V and the 16 core Radeon 890M respectively. Both of these processors would not cause thermal problems when used in the framework 13 when configured to a cTDP of 30 watts. I am sure that with improved cooling they could handle 35 watts in a Framework 13 if need be. Also do you have plans to offer an American Megatrends Aptio V UEFI as an option?

Why not have an electronjs installer that installs the current stable electronjs runtime and the app is simply a 7 zip file with the html, css, JavaScript, we assembly and assets. As for browsers, why not build the browser on top of electronjs, using electronjs as the browser engine while allowing browser apps to piggyback off the browser, which would automatically update.

Simple, build 1000 5 gigawatt Gen 4 nuclear reactors and 500 5 gigawatt desalination plants. Invest in new aquaducts to bring the water all across California and new power lines to bring the power all across California. I would then sell any surplus to Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon to pay off the debt incurred for this project.

This works when the value of advertising is high, but when the advertising prices fall below a certain threshold thus business model is no longer sustainable. I think a sustainable business model is charging a standard price for a standard amount of service. Maybe advertising can be used along with paid subscriptions for a better free tier, but it is important that most of your revenue and profit come from your customers and not from an unstable and overstimulated ad market.

No one has the incentive to preserve the environment because much of the land is publicly owned and the renters have no incentive not to destroy it. The law of the land should be that if a business pollutes you or your property without your consent, then you have grounds to sue. The potential fines are negligible in comparison to thousands of angry property owners suing on an individual basis that the corporation would have to defend against. Of course there are trade offs, but a free market without legally backed monopolies or special corporations that have the privilege of being closer to the money printer than the rest of us are best managed to manage the risk. Yes, we as a civilization could be carbon negative tomorrow, but the trade off is 3.5 billion people would die, and that is not worth it, but gradual transition to more efficient fuel sources along with actual civil consequences for wanton pollution without consent would go a long way to making the world a cleaner place. The concept of deliberately destroying property to maximize short term gain only exists in a society of renters, not of property owners who actually own their land.

I think it would be possible to suspend a large Wifi7 WPA3 Enterprise 384 bit antenna 1000 feet in the air on a weather balloon and tethered to a specific place. The computer would be the size of a pizzia box and would contain 8 10GB ethernet connections to the tether and would contain 64 Wifi broadcasting at 10 watts each. Antennas with 4 way mu-mimo. The corporation providing the service would sell login details to end users to pay for the upkeep of the antenna. It would also have a crash recovery system in the form of a parachute if the tether is cut or the balloons pop to prevent damage to property.

Without going free as in freedom, Solaris is going nowhere, why pay to create things for Solaris when you can just create things for Oracle Linux for free. Eventually Solaris will die a slow, painful and agonizing death as the customers with programs that run on Solaris will slowly switch away to competing operating systems.
