"Miracle berries" a.k.a. synsepalum dulcificum do exactly as described. I was not disappointed. I put half of one in my mouth and chewed it up, which made a sip of cheap red table wine taste like Hawaiian Punch or Kool-Aid. I regret not having a cup of coffee to see if it trended more toward a sweet bean filling or chocolate milk. If you've been reading these posts for years, you know trying new fruit will show up in them, but this is the first one that altered the taste of other things, albeit not the first thing.

I just made this post via the V Tooots app on an Apple iPhone. I did that just to prove I could. The hard part was just figuring out the name of an app that can talk on Friendica, Mastodon, and the other networks that are open and can talk to each other.

People switching from Facebook to Twitter clones, but not Facebook clones. WTF?

Wave after wave of people send links to Blue Sky or Mastodon or whatever new Twitter clone, but will they ever find a Facebook clone to make into a trend? That's what it's going to take to move the ubiquity.

Top Banner / Wall Photo is stretching funny.

I've never had as much trouble getting a wall photo to appear at the top of my post as on Friendica, and I've been trying different social media platforms, all day and night. I think the issue is that it's somehow picking the center of my photos and stretching them to a size larger than what's visible on the page, to me, so things are pixilating.

This is my first post on Venera, but something like my 8th post in the Fedeverse.

I am trying to find a satisfactory replacement for Facebook. I do not like Twitter for its post length and lack of post audience controls, I do not like Instagram for its image-centric nature, and I do not like Facebook for how slow, unstable, and manipulative its latest version seems to be, so onward goes the search. Will the search end here? Will Frendica reach ubiquity?
