19.5.2024 19:37Also, look what I found while in the Maynooth Dept. of Theoretical Physics @telescoperI had a wonderful time last week at #MaynoothUniversity and #DublinInstituteforAdvancedStudies, where I gave two talks about my work on scaling relations in strongly interacting electron-phonon superconductors. I hope to be back in Maynooth and Dublin soon!

On Monday, I'll be talking about my work with Rufus Boyack on universal scaling relations in electron-phonon superconductors.
Monday, March 4th | Room M100F | Section B15.00003
Additionally, I'll be giving a poster (on a new algorithmic approach to solving the Eliashberg equations on the imaginary axis for arbitrary e-p coupling strength) and I'm connected to two other works: one with Andrew Projansky on our work concerning entanglement spectrum statistics in matchgate circuits with supplemental resources, and one with fellow postdoc Andrew Cupo on the preparation of topological Floquet states by quantum optimal control. 1) My paper on Majorana-Fermi surfaces has been published in Nature Communications Physics. We find experimental signatures of a metallic phase in a novel Kitaev magnet candidate, and explain these features with a modification of traditional Landau-Fermi liquid theory. Read it here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s42005-023-01403-w
2) My mentoree at Dartmouth College, Andrew Projansky, and I have put a new paper on the arXiv where we explore the entanglement spectrum statistics of matchgate (i.e., free fermionic) circuits and matchgate+Clifford hybrid circuits. We find that Wigner-Dyson statistics in the entanglement level spectrum is not a good indicator for some universal gate element in a quantum circuit. Read it here: https://arxiv.org/abs/2312.08447

Also: unfortunately, there has never been a very strong footing in condensed matter on Mastodon. While some very wonderful CM physicists are on this site, the shear quantity of CM people on Twitter is much, much higher than on Mastodon. Similarly, it seems like PRL and other major journals never had a firm footing on this platform.
Since Twitter hasn't imploded yet and other issues with Twitter have calmed down, I'll be moving back to Twitter. My Mastodon will still be here, but I might not check it as often.
