Time for work, but I was very productive this morning. Feels both good and a little harried, but I know after work there's no way I'll be able to do much in the way of unpacking.

Going to give my older kid the project of putting together his new nightstand, so that'll keep him busy for a bit.

Moving is exhausting, y'all, and it feels like I'm so far behind, even as I have made so much progress.

I just walked into my laundry room in the new house, and it's flooded

It's not 2/3 of the house, and it's not 1/2" deep, and it's on linoleum, and not peel-and-stick vinyl tiles, so like, nothing is ruined

but walking into my laundry room and it going "splish" was just so unbelievably not on the list of things that I have enough chill to deal with #today.

Like just about everything else in this house it seems, my new setup is a mirror image of the previous one.

Also the new office is well integrated into the main living area, which is both a blessing and a curse. That may be the biggest adjustment.

Cats, people, and probably 70% of our stuff is here, and 90% of the heavy stuff *is* done, so we can tackle that tomorrow and/or next weekend.

It's a bit of a clusterfuck, as you'd expect.

It's always interesting to me to look at people's lists for FollowFriday - some of them I find really cool things on for sure.

But if you're recommending follows it's at least something worth considering that there's a little bit of diversity in those recommendations. In the same way that reading diverse books is a good idea, reading diverse social media is a good idea.

Send me patience today. Husbot is home with the kids to really put a dent in some of the packing, and my kids are... uh.

Unmotivated? They had stuff to get done this week, none of it got done, it's 9am, and already tensions are running high.

I work from home, and I find this kind of tension really uncomfortable. Probably just need to close my door and put up with the heat (office doesn't get good ventilation).
