Micromap material blending... seriously looking into storing blending masks per-triangle with their own material offsets... masks could just be exported out of texturing software and baked onto the geometry itself and the resulting size of the structure I found good enough is basically the same as adding a niave hardware skinning structure to your vertex buffer... compared to dozens of texture maps... massive savings.
