I started making the diagrams because I missed the (useful) official ones and wanted a planning guide for my travels. I hope they help you too when travelling through central or northern 🇪🇺 #Europe (or whatever you need them for)!

Two more unofficial 🚂 diagrams are online: I updated the 🇸🇪 #Swedish train network diagrams to 2025. I adapted the symbolisation of the frequency for a better appearance. There are some changes in the long distance traffic: #Flixtrain left Sweden, MTRX is now operated by #VR, there are almost no night trains to Gothenburg anymore. (Due to the limited number of services, the night train map is no longer as informative).

After San Fernando, the #Trambahía line follows the main road through the marshes of the Bahía de Cadíz Natural Park. The Trambahía passes through Chiclana de la Frontera, the third town, before reaching its terminus at the other end of the town. (7/7)

The Trambahía...Probably for urban planning reasons, the new tram platforms of the #Trambahía are lower than those of the train stations. As a result, the trams have doors at two different heights. In the railway section, the lower doors remain closed. In the tram section, all doors are open.
Each control car has one door at each level. One car has a lift for wheelchair users to change levels. The middle car has no doors. (6/7)
#Trambahía 's (newly built) tram section follows San Fernando's pedestrianised main street. The two Iberian-gauge tracks (with very short single-track sections) are well integrated into the old centre, but still take up a lot of space given their half-hourly frequency. Our service ran at an estimated maximal speed of 20km/h and stopped at each station for about 1-2 minutes. (5/7)

It is not possible to enter or leave the station, as its only purpose is to change between Trambahía and Cercanía. There is one island platform for each direction.
Once every hour, a Trambahía service changes from its "rail" to the "tram" section (and vice versa). In addition, on weekdays, once every hour, there is a connection between a Cercanía and a Trambahía service using only the "tram section". (4/7)
Sharing the tracks with regional and long-distance trains is - I think - the reason for the irregular frequency of the #Trambahía. The tram runs hourly between Cádiz, San Fernando and Chiclana de la Frontera, but there are variations within a quarter of an hour. (3/7)

It is a tram-train system in southern 🇪🇸 Spain. It opened in 2022 and connects three cities with about 90k to 110k inhabitants each. Due to the cancelled services after the blackout on 28 April, I could not take as many satisfying pictures as I wanted. Day 10 is another return day: An RE7 takes us to Neumünster, where we change to the ICE 77 to Zurich. Today, Basel SBB is the terminus due to the delay. I feel reassured that ICE through trains from (Kiel-) Hamburg to Zurich are still a myth, while @dominicstucki blames my bad luck. Anyway, we arrive at Zurich HB after changing trains in Basel SBB (with 1 hour delay). #TokeriiBergslagen
