Only 37.2% of the voting public turned out for this by-election. That's just over a third. In recent years the highest turn out was 57.9% in Hartlepool.

Voter turn out must be publicised as important. It must be made easy to do and it must be understood as a voice for the people as it stands.

Don't be manipulated.

and it reminded me of those heady days, as a teenager, when I devoured Fortean Times, Lyall Watson and Von Daniken. I was filled with a sense of excitement and awe. The universe is full of wonder and joy. Later I realised that many of these writers were either grifters or blind to their own biases. Now i understand that we are all trying to understand our short lives and those methods are various.

This draining behaviour will eventually kill off any hope of a healthy, sustainable business landscape.

I've been following a particular podcast since it started, this applies to many podcasters, and i have been extolling it's virtues, praising it's content and promoting it online and to friends in general chat. They've become popular and now their best content is for Patreons only which I can't afford. I wish them well and am thankful for their previously free content but I'm not sure if i can agree with this model where it bites the hand that originally fed them. Thoughts? #philosophy
