Even before the film #BrassedOff, those of us who grew up within sight of the #coalfields of Grimey, Houghton Main and so on remember this sound swelling from the village halls at least twice weekly during banding season.

John Marcangelo's #ClogDance has always been one of my favourites - and I played it often as a percussionist in my early youth banding days. Seeing the brass get slaughtered for late mis-cues was hilarious.

I really fail to see the logic in some folks (who, in their subject matter are quite learned) who cannot see the blatantly obvious connection between the erosion of living and trading standards in the UK and Brexit (and the added ingredient of a Tory administration). 2) Boost posts of others, gain traction, follow people. Share more than you post. Boosting others' content which interests you is a good way to encourage people to want to follow you to see what you've got to say.

One would hope that the world watching #Twitter collapsing abysmally is testimony to the fact that people like #Musk become billionaires by exploiting and mistreating people who, in these straitened financial times, NEED employment and thus the income it brings. A lot of people will go to extraordinary lengths to keep their jobs, but a lot of consumers who just want no-fuss, open-ended communication will, as they have already, move to #Mastodon.
