I’m trying a thing. When I think about someone, I reach out to check in on them and let them know they’re on my mind. Just a text or DM for most folks is all it takes. Sometimes it’s a post card or physical note. I’ll schedule a coffee or lunch if it’s appropriate. My dad, who I’m blessed to still have, loves the phone call. lol. Life is fleeting. We’re all so busy. This seems simple enough, but everything about this world today is screaming that we need to focus more on our IRL community.

Twitter’s value for me was that it WAS a democratized FREE space where anyone *who could access internet* could get real time info on local & worldwide events. Those who lived thru Katrina know that value.
