And yeah yeah “welcome to the internet” but it was more a part of social media in the past, now that’s all it is. Young Twitter can’t and won’t ever happen again. Threads is just as bad as X on this, if not worse.

It’s way too easy for this to happen, which also points to how pointless it is? The idea that everything you write will be seen by either 20 people or nearly a million and you have no way of knowing which before you write it is dare I say dangerous. Whenever something hits like this I don’t feel dopamine, just dread. They’re always the “I wrote this in 30 seconds waiting for an ad break” level takes that do this, too 🙃

As somebody that has written about theme parks for this outlet, I have problems with this Bayou Adventure review. Primarily that the underlying premise of “Splash Mountain sucked, actually” feels painfully forced. Secondarily that “I like that the ride is IP I recognize” feels like something Disney wrote for her.

For all the hurdles VR/AR currently has I’m bullish because it seems like communal screens are dying (both TV and cinemas) and the only way to get that fully enveloping immersion like with a large screen will fall to headsets/glasses at some point.
