It's always annoying never knowing who has responded to the question. (Sometimes people forgot to cc the mailing list in their response). Then we need to have yet another platform to ping the other members saying stuff like "can you respond to that".
Also as someone who has tried writing to those private MLs, it's annoying getting the "you're not on the list so your message is on hold".

Example: mailing lists for communicating with a group of people about private matters (accounting, grants team, legal, steering council, etc).
I wanna suggest that a proper ticketing system would be a better solution for this kind of communication, something that let's you triage/assign messages to specific team members, but maybe it's unpopular opinion?

I've been to all others:
PyTexas, PyCon US, DjangoCon US, PyCaribbean, PyCon Canada, PyCascades, PyOhio, North Bay Python, and PyBay
I missed out on: PyColorado, PyTennessee, Florida PyCon, PyCarolinas
I also haven't been to PyGotham and PyBeach, but I'm unsure of the status of those two.

These were the questions that were asked at the border in case folks wanna be prepared and get an idea bout traveling to the US in the year 2025
- where you're going? (Bellingham)
- what's the purpose? (Conference)
- what kind of conference? (Software devs)
- where are you staying (Hotel name)
- who are you traveling with? (Husband and two children)
Now I think these are still pretty standard and reasonable questions, but still, it's definitely more scrutiny than before.

The border was practically empty. There was no line at all. There were more cars in the Nexus line than in the regular line, I've never seen it like this before.
I've had Nexus/Global Entry since 2016 and have enjoyed special privileges ever since. Whenever I visit the US, I almost never got asked anything other than "where" and "how long", but this time they asked so many questions 🇨🇦🚗🇺🇲😥🛂⤵️

The fact we have to first export and manipulate data in another platform is annoying to me. Why is this the "default" expectation? Why do we have to export it first? Why can't the interface be more like pretalx where we can give our approvals and write comments directly there?
