The fox structured around my logo ended up not cutting it for me. I liked the concept, but execution just wasn't there and I just couldn't get it to look good enough. It was a fun exercise though and led me to end up here. Not sure what I will do with these, but there's definitely room for more exploration and still want to attempt to make an illustrative mascot.

Over the past 2 weeks I finally started watching Last of Us and am all caught up to yesterday's episode. Really enjoy the show! I played the original game twice (original & remaster), was 15 hours into the 2nd game 5 years ago when it came out, but for whatever reason took a break and never finished it. Played a few hours of it this weekend (where I left off) and even though I forgot everything that happened in the game (it's been 5 years!), the story is right about where the show is now. 🤯

I've always loved Kitsune masks and the other day I realized my logo has the basic architecture of one. So this weekend I tried to turn my logo into one. Still needs work, but I think I'm on to something! Would be cool to have a nice kitsune version of my logo and then a mascot/character as well.

I also realized the kanji for Kitsune kind of has the shapes of an M and J too! 😅

Made more shirts. Did not get the wrinkles out for the shot, but this is all just a learning experience anyways. 😅

When I start selling shirts, it will definitely be limited and in low quantities. Between 2 different screen designs, neck tag, and the patch on the arm, making one shirt is a process.

One would say simplify or outsource the work, but my goal isn’t selling a bunch of shirts. My goal is to make the best quality apparel and experience I can myself out of my garage.

Kids are on spring break this week so I took my younger two to K1 for a couple races. It was my youngest’s first time and he had a blast....

Kids are on spring break this week so I took my younger two to K1 for a couple races. It was my youngest’s first time and he had a blast. Middle one as only gone a few times now and definitely feels like a natural. My oldest used to be in leagues and was pretty quick, but he’s a teenager now and doing stuff with his family isn’t cool anymore. 🫤

My oldest and I used to always get on the top 10 times of the week list. Now it’s my middle one and I. 🙂

Originally I was going to make all the Apple hardware on the page in 3D and was dreading it…so much that I started to feel frustrated with all the work that had to be done to finish this page.

Decided to create them in “2D” in Sketch and think they ended up turning out fine and saved me tons of work. Work smarter not harder?

I love the end results of 3D and the flexibility I get, but it’s so stressful and a ton of work for someone at my limited skill level.
