Seriously overjoyed at this, and reckon the importance of this new bridge can't be overstated.

It brings together two of the biggest districts in Glasgow, which until now have never had a direct physical crossing of the river (with the nearest crossings >1km away). Brilliant new placemaking at the Riverside Museum and Govan Cross too.

And it ties into new walking and cycling routes that will soon stretch out from both banks of the river. The potential positive impact of this is enormous.
