Yesterday I was timekeeping at Walsall Arboretum #parkrun, it was my 200th time #parkrunvolunteering, and my 50th time timekeeping.

Timekeeping is one of my favourite volunteer roles because you just get to be antisocial, just standing around playing on your phone.

Tomorrow East Park #parkrun (in #Wolverhampton, not Hull!) are celebrating their 3rd birthday.

My name is Mark and I do #running, often at #parkrun (A1214775) occasionally #racing at #marathon, #halfmarathon, #10k or #3k races. I'm also a volunteer Jog Leader #LiRF.

When I'm not running (and sometimes even when I am) I read #history, update #openstreetmap, and enjoy the odd glass of beer.

It was four years ago today that I ran my first #parkrun outwith the UK, with a random trip to Dublin and Darndale parkrun.

I've since returned to parkruns in Ireland three times, including Dardale for a second time earlier this year.
I've also gone on to run parkruns in other countries, France (Montsouris), Germany (Volksgarten), and most recently Poland (Pole Mokotowskie).

Facebook memories has just reminded me that it was three years ago today that I made my first visit to the mother of all parkruns at Bushy park.

I've not made it back there as a runner yet, but did celebrate my 25th time timekeeping with a visit there last September where I timed around 1,016 runners (beating my previous PB of 739)

This morning I ran Coventry #parkrun in 27'37, bringing the number of parkrun event were I've yet to run sub-30 down to just three.

Churchfields Farm parkrun is my new #NENYS30 (Nearest Event Not Yet Sub-30) but I don't have any plans to return there in the near future.
