That was a highly disappointing first meeting with #pocketbook device today.
As a birthday present I received a PocketBook, I was really looking forward to it. However, when I opened the package, about a third of the screen worked, the rest never refreshed or changed.
Tried to do a restart (which it does not seem to do) to get the screen working > Nothing
Tried to do a factory reset, so guessed my way through the screen and got to the reset. However the reset also showed no improvement.

Several months ago I got myself a treamill for under my (standing)desk.
Averaging 3,5 hours a day on the treadmill these days during an average working day.
Main thing I have noticed: I get restless when in an office where I cannot walk during the day. Feeling more energetic and way less tired (also mentally) at the end of the day.

Such a headache, trying to remove myself from different eco-systems. One of the most important ones being the Amazon Kindle.
Over the years I have bought about 150 ebooks, so I have been working these last few days to make sure I actually OWN those books instead of "the right to read it".
Next up: finding a good ereader device to replace the Kindle. considering something not connected to stores/cloud storage etc. Something like the Boox, but I would prefer it to have recent OS.
