I started volunteering for them in January of 2020 because I could no longer do in-person volunteer work during the pandemic lockdown. It has been an awesome experience and very fulfilling. The calls are one-way; they can’t see you, even if they have partial vision, and you don’t see them either. You only see what they point the camera at.
I have helped someone build an appliance out of the box, match clothing, find grocery items, find a telephone number, troubleshoot a computer app, etc.

It allows #Blind & #VisuallyImpaired people to video call you to ask for help w reading info, directions, matching outfits, finding objects etc. The calls are short, usually <10 minutes & the people I’ve interacted with are wonderful. Just got a call from the dr (I'm at home) that my appointment was half an hour ago & I missed it 😶
