It turns out that having a second root canal done on a tooth that has already had a root canal can still hurt like hell for several days...

It turns out that having a second root canal done on a tooth that has already had a root canal can still hurt like hell for several days afterward, while a first root canal on the tooth right next to it stopped hurting after only a couple of days.

(It's almost certainly because the repeat offender was actually infected again, while the new patient was just the result of a cavity that had gotten too close to the root for a filling.)

The sudden change in the weather is probably contributing to that a bit — it's actually raining outside!
