You have from now until...I'm trying to re-find an article and its followup, likely 10+ years old. It was written by a senior journalist or editor, I think as as a goodbye to readership before retirement. Very likely in one of the UK broadsheet newspapers.
The copyeditor of said article changed it enough to rile the original author, who followed up with a complaint letter which was published, and it's details of this complaint letter that I'm trying to recall. One of the points raised was in reference to the final sentence which had been changed to end on an unstressed syllable rather than a stressed one. (I think)
Can anyone find what I'm half remembering?
