This top camera bar design makes sense given that we know Apple couldn’t fit the Face ID sensor array into the lid of a MacBook Pro because of the thinness. This bar allows them to keep the depth needed for those sensor while making the rest of the phone thin. Which would explain why they made it so wide while just having one camera sensor.

Celebrated my girlfriend's birthday this weekend and gave her an iPhone 14 Pro and Apple Watch series 7 (both with new batteries).

She has always had Android, but what struck me was how quickly she took to iOS, probably because the operating systems have grown so similar. The 'Move to iOS' app took care of moving over most of her content.

I had to teach her the difference of pulling down from top right corner and middle/left though (Control Center vs notifications) — that was not intuitive.
