Just saw the sad news that Open Collective Foundation is closing, and trying to understand it better.

What about their model was fiscally unsustainable? Aren't the admin costs of fiscal sponsorship significantly lowered when you're using open collective and groups are managing their own funds?

Curious b/c I run a (much smaller) fiscal sponsorship program and because it was such a helpful tool for grassroots community orgs, wondering what could be done differently in the future
