All of these photos were taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS III USM + a Canon 2x Extender.

The focal length was 400mm.

Here are a couple of the photos I took of the eclipse. Having never attempted solar photography before, I'm really happy with how these photos turned out.

The photo of the crescent Sun, was taken at 1:36:16pm. The totality photo was taken at 1:56:13pm.

I viewed the eclipse from Village Creek, Arkansas where totality lasted for approximately 4min 12sec.

Okay, this is cool… A guy won an eBay auction for a Sony Helical Scan video tape that was hand labeled “MAN ON THE MOON I”. He digitized the tape and uploaded the captured video to YouTube.

It turns out the tape contains approximately one hour of NBC’s 1969 broadcast of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.

The fan on my old 16" Mac Book Pro, with an Intel CPU, practically never stopped. It was a constant annoyance.
