Good.I think there's not a lot more that I can improve or polish in the demo / early game, at least not without more feedback, so I guess it's time to start playtesting the final dungeon. It's been "done" for a while, but I have yet to actually play through it and get a real sense for the flow and difficulty. Here goes.

It helps me see the gameplay from perspectives I might have overlooked on my own.

For example, Pursuit inflicts extra damage on targeted enemies, and Poppy Dust inflicts sleep on one or more enemies. The problem is that damage reduces the duration of sleep, which means that Pursuit was immediately breaking sleep as soon as Poppy Dust applied it.

Steam's 10-review threshold is basically anti-competitive practice and one of the ways in which they punish and hold indies hostage to their platform, because keys redeemed from external vendors aren't counted towards the 10. They may claim that this is to combat astroturfing, but it actively punishes indies for selling outside of Steam or even giving KS backer keys, while being completely immaterial to AAA. Totally coincidental, I'm sure.

I have spent most of the time since releasing the demo adding polish and addressing feedback, but although this has benefited the game, the cost has been progress towards finishing content. Now I am second-guessing whether I am actually ready for Next Fest and whether I can release the game by my target date. And, if I don't end up releasing before Next Fest in October, then was it a mistake to participate in June?

This is useful for a quick build snapshot, a detailed vitals / XP (to next) check, or a reminder of who's who. I was able to assemble a working version of this in like an hour thanks to #GodotEngine 's very efficient GUI tools.

I am very close to content-complete now. Part of what's left are a couple of music tracks, though, which is quite difficult for me.

I set the default OS behavior to execute, but Itch is not respecting that.
I ask because the application manifest doesn't support command line arguments, either. Or rather, it says it does, but the client doesn't seem to understand them.
Itch never responded to my support ticket about the arguments.

You can also hold down the optional clickable arrow buttons, and you can turn and sidestep while running. This was more complicated to implement than it appears and it took some trial and error to get it to feel right, but I think it is working pretty well now.

Input is always frustrating, but I have reworked the solution a few times because it wasn't quite right, plus I have had some unexpected bugs with world interaction to deal with.
I think I have it working now, but it makes me nervous. I will probably have to retest the entire demo before I merge it, just to make sure.
